Having spent formative years
in the music business, the power of sound and images has
always been clear to me. The availability of low-cost
digital production tools has let to an explosion of audio
and visual content. Unfortunately the old adage is as true
as ever. “The weakest point in any audio or video
system is the nut behind the viewfinder.”
It is surprising how many times potential clients tell us
that they want a CD or a DVD. It is tempting to reach into
the box and pull out a blank disc for them. What they
really want is clarity about their communication need, a
thought-through solution implemented effectively, with
imagination, flair and credibility so that it complements
other aspects of their situation and delivers the required
solution. ... Oh, and on a CD or DVD. We might even talk
about using the web or a podcast ...
