Despite being based in the wilds of Suffolk, fast broadband brings the whole world so much closer (I regularly work with colleagues in the USA, Canada, New Zealand and France) and I can be in central London in under two hours. Add another hour or so and most of Europe is well within reach!
However, on-line communication and collaboration tools are getting so effective these days that face-to-face meetings are necessary far less often. That's good for us and good for the planet.
