Until relatively recently, tele-conferencing has often been problematic to set up. Video conferencing was prohibitively expensive and still entailed travel to specialist facilities. Now both and more are available on any internet-connected computer.
We use a variety of applications to enable effective, documented meetings and conference sessions. In truth though, the tools alone are not the complete answer. The services of an experienced facilitator (sometimes called a “moderator”) are invaluable in getting helping users settle in and in the best from seminar/conference sessions.
